Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost

My favorite of the multiple movies released Scooby Doo and the Witches Ghost is a fun romp that gives great publicity and information about the infamous Salem, Massachusetts. Giving the film a darker tone by actually dealing with a actual ghost and toward the end of the film actually is frightening.... well at least to the normal 10 year old when I first think I saw the film. The Scooby gang came by Salem, Massachusetts because they were invited by Ben Ravencroft a famous horror writer who lived in the area. They arrived in Salem to learn that the town turned into a huge tourist attraction due to the witch Sarah Ravencroft...who may be terrorizing the town. As usual the Mystery Inc goes out and tried to debunk the monster. They did....pretty quickly.....but later they discover there is alot more evil. With the power and help of the band playing at the local festival they discover an evil spirit that they never thought really existed. SO GO WATCH IT....if you have not already and if you need some encouragement watch this video of a original song from the film featuring the hex girls.

Scooby Through The Ages

Scooby Doo is a legendary cartoon running since 1969. Each episode featured Scooby and the four teenage members of the Mystery, Inc. hip gang :Fred, Daphne, Shaggy and Velma, traveled around in the infamous Mystery Machine and faced a ghost, monster, or other crazy monster, who was terrorizing a certain circus act or haunted mansion. After looking for clues and suspects and always chased around by the monster in some cool sequence. The gang came to realize the monster is probably not one at all. Fred always made some weird plan to capture the villain and they usually unmasked the monster and he or she was revealed as a person cover up there mischief. EVERY episode ended with the same lines "...and I would have gotten away with it, too, if it hadn't been for you meddling kids!" and then Scooby Doo there trustworthy and goofy dog would always end the episode with "SCOOOBBBYYY DOOOBY DOOOOO"
The show is a child hood favorite of mine. I created this blog to talk about how good this franchise really is. I feel like it has been taken down so many notches to do things such as the awful low budget Cartoon Network live action Scooby Doo that is some how even worse then the 2002 live action film. I am here to recount the glory days of the franchise mainly focusing on the original series Scooby-Doo, Where are You! and some of the fantastic full length movies. I think I will start off talking about Scooby Doo and the Witches Ghost which was actually based in my home state Massachusetts. Until then folks enjoy the original theme song.
